Daníel Nominated For Icelandic Music Awards
For the second time in three years, Daníel Bjarnason has been nominated for the Icelandic Music Awards as Composer of the Year and for Composition of the Year.
The 16th Icelandic Music Awards, presented in March 2009, saw Daníel winning Composer of the Year for the music on his debut album Processions and Composition of the Year for "Bow to String".
The 18th Icelandic Music Awards will take place in late February 2012 and as previously mentioned Daníel is again nominated twice; as Composer of the Year and for Composition of the Year for "Birting" ("Emergence") which was premiered earlier this year at the Dark Music Days in Iceland and later performed at the Iceland Airwaves Music Festival in Harpa.
We're of course very proud parents. Congratulations, Daníel!
